Certified Grief Counselor, Thanatologist, Chaplain, Music Therapist
Dr. Paul Lenderman is originally from North Carolina and moved to California in 2013. He has been married to his beautiful wife for 26 years and they have 4 lovely daughters. After the tragic passing of his younger brother, he founded Mark Ministries, a registered non-profit organization. He has been working in pastoral care and bereavement support for 25 years.
After earning his Bachelors and Masters Degrees, he received his Doctorate of Theology and Doctorate of Divinity as well as becoming a Thanatologist in 2022. He has also earned his Certification in Suicide Counseling and Apologetics. Additionally, he is a Certified Chaplain where he officiates around 100 funerals and weddings each year.
Paul is a nationally Certified Grief Counselor. In Ventura County, he is a regular speaker at Grief Seminars and facilitates weekly Bereavement Groups in person and over Zoom. He also conducts individual and family grief sessions while also partnering with local churches to provide grief support. With Assisted Home Hospice, he serves as the Bereavement Coordinator and Spiritual Counselor. He received the Above and Beyond Award in 2018, the Fainer/Tauber Community Service Award in 2019, and several Guardian Angel Awards.
Paul is also a Certified Music Therapist which enables him to provide music therapy for Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and Dementia residents throughout the area. He also sings for churches, birthday parties, banquets, holiday celebrations, and other special events. In order to support and promote Mark Ministries, he recorded an album entitled Classics which can be obtained by a charitable contribution of any amount.
